SMTP Client Processor

The SMTP Client Processor is a program which VPOP3 will run just before it sends a message to the ISP's SMTP mail server.

This program is NOT run for 'SMTP Direct' connections

The SMTP Client Processor is very similar to the OutMail Pre-processor but it cannot change the recipients from remote recipients to local recipients as the OutMail pre-processor can.

The SMTP Client Processor is called in the same way as the OutMail Pre-processor and with the same file formats, so see the help for the Outmail Preprocessor for more information. Note that the SMTP Client Processor runs whilst VPOP3 is online, whereas the OutMail Pre-processor may be run whilst VPOP3 is offline. This means that the SMTP Client Processor can access Internet resources if necessary, but it may slow down the connection if it takes a while to run.
