avast! for VPOP3
Starting with VPOP3 V2, VPOP3 has integrated
support to work with the avast!
antivirus engine on all
versions of Windows.
The avast! antivirus engine is a high performance, high
value anti-virus engine which VPOP3 talks to directly to
scan all incoming and outgoing messages for viruses.The
avast! antivirus engine is regularly updated with new virus
definitions and VPOP3 can keep the local copy up to date
automatically if it has an Internet connection.

The avast! for VPOP3 licence must be the same size as your
VPOP3 licence.
Using avast! for VPOP3
After download, the avast! engine is enabled in VPOP3 by simply going to the
Utilities ->
Attachment Processing -> Antivirus section in the VPOP3 settings,
and checking the Use avast! for VPOP3 to scan attachments for viruses option.
You can customise the behaviour further by using the other settings on that
window (eg informing
the sender or administrator if a virus is found etc).
