A common requirement is to be able to forward messages received by VPOP3 to another email address.
There are several ways of doing this with VPOP3.
The first two methods require a user to be defined, so they use up some of your allowed user allocation. They are useful if the person is sometimes in the office, but occasionally wants their email to be forwarded elsewhere.
The third method doesn't require a user to be defined, but is slightly more complex.
To do this, simply create a user as normal and then enter the remote email address in the Assistant box, or enter the remote email address in the Assistant box on the User -> General settings of an existing user.
(See the notes about Assistants before using this method).
To do this, simply create a user as normal and then enter the remote email address in the Forwarding Address box, or enter the remote email address in the Forward To box on the User -> General settings of an existing user.
To do this, create a Forwarding List. Give the list the name which you want the original email to be addressed to. Then set the Forwarding Address for the list to the email address where you want the message to be forwarded to.
Eg, if you want mail to henry@yourcompany.com to be sent to henry_brown@compuserve.com, then create a Forwarding List called henry and add set the Forwarding Address to henry_brown@compuserve.com.
