Set Assistant using Mailer_Daemon

To set your assistant by email, send a message to Mailer_Daemon with a subject line of Set Assistant.

The message text should contain the lines:

USERNAME <username>

PASSWORD <password>

ASSISTANT [ONLY] <assistant name>

(Use 'ONLY' if you only want the assistant to receive your messages. Don't use it if you want to receive the messages in your mailbox as well).

For instance:

USERNAME bill

PASSWORD semolina

ASSISTANT simon

Note: If the USERNAME entry does not match the sender of the message, then the user defined by USERNAME will receive a notification message, saying that the assistant has been changed.

Starting with VPOP3 2.1.1 and later, if you use SMTP authentication to send messages, VPOP3 can use the user details from that instead of requiring the USERNAME and PASSWORD data in the message.
